The White Cross has comfortable seating and sofas. The food is great and in my opinion offers the best steak in Lancaster. There is a good range of ale on rotation, so there is always something new to try. The staff are friendly. If you enjoy a quiz, then it’s probably the most popular pub quiz going.

Warm and friendly for adults and children. Comfortable seating wife choice of beers, wines and spirits. Good coffee with wide selection of specialist teas. You can eat in the bar or separate dining area. It's clean fresh and decorated contemporary. Super outdoors smoke break zone. You can also sit on benches along the town path, which is nice especially in the summer, even though there are only picnic benches and fixed tables. Not that comfortable but popular.

A great pub that serves really wholesome Gastro Pub food, a great range of traditional craft ales and more modern euro-pints. One of the few pubs where the bar and restaurant are a comfortable mix. With canal side seating it is a treat in summer and on warmer nights.

Very nice all round, nice atmosphere and friendly service. Would certainly come back. Had Steak and kidney pie which was nice except hardly any steak in pie, more carrot, but tasty.

Went for a Xmas meal decided to go for the 3 course for £24 definitely not value for money. Ordered a vegetarian dish - veg in filo pastry was served with a few potatoes and no veg (apart from the few bits of veg in the pastry) as I looked around at my friends meat dishes their plates packed with carrots, runner beans and various other vegetables. You'd think some bright spark in the kitchen would have thought a vegetarian would appreciate eating vegetables but obviously not!! Will not eat there again.
