I come to Runcorn to visit friends and they highly recommended the dolphin, I was surprised, the food is amazing and huge portions at a reasonable price. I can’t wait to visit again, absolutely delicious, very well organised for such a busy chippy and friendly staff. Just the little touches like the fortune cookies for the kids.
Always very busy so tells its own story. Food is always very good and service time is good considering how busy it always is. Prices have gone up a good bit now tho so can't warrant 5 stars.Food: 5/5
So went to the chippy to grab some grub for me and the missus now I don't mind the dolphin sometimes but giving a one star due to customer service I literally stood at the front to place my £30 Order waited until they say how can I help what would you like to order instead waited for over 5 minutes still no one seen to me then instead of asking to call Me over as I was waiting they call over someone else but had to spend my money next door in the co op all was after was a family meal there loss of £30 feedback would be is when customer is stood there for over 30 seconds or longer approach the customer within the first ten seconds of them arriving or if you are busy advise you be with them in minute at least then you have made them aware that you have noticed them honestly really disappointed in service
The food from here was fresh an piping hot. Staff were friendly. Would recommend an will definately be going back as the menu choice is amazing

The chicken chow mein here is very tasty. I always eat more than I should.
Dunno what has happened to this chippy. The food quality has dropped, the taste of food has changed and isn't worth it anymore. Need to find a nice chippy again

Just had chicken curry. Chicken didn't seem to be real chicken! Sauce not great, it came with a huge bag of chips, enough to feed a whole family. However I think the chips are frozen as they are not like chippy chips. Big disappointment. Usually have chicken fried rice but as I've been disappointed with this lately I thought this may be better. How wrong was I. Won't be wasting money there again.
