This is a great place to.hang out with friends families and loved ones. There is ample parking available on site for everyone. The staff are friendly courteous and helpful and smiling too . The food is great and the outside seating is a wonderful place. Very green quiet and tranquil with only the sounds of different birds on the distance. This place caters for everyone and anyone. Definitely recommended for anyone who wants to have a great time . Thank you and have a great time.
It is a good size, well decorated pub with a cozy atmosphere and a garden with picnic tables on the grass as well as patio tables. It is about a 10 mins drive from the Stonehenge. The food was quite good. We had whitebait as starters and they were the tiniest white baits we had and fresh tasting. Their burgers we tried beef and chicken were very tasty and satisfying, served with fries. They also have a daily menu with interesting sounding food. Beer options were alright and staff kind.
This is a cute pub with great service and good food. This is such a great place to eat with family or friends, with an insight dining area, a bar, and an outdoor seating area. The service here was great and the food was delicious! Large selection for vegetarians. I got the Homity pie with was a special, leek and potato pie. Delicious!
Off the beaten track and nestled in the valley underneath Old Sarum. Great selection of food and huge interior and exterior, despite the small pub frontage this holds plenty of tables. Attentive and welcoming staff. Had a traditional ham egg and chips which was a reasonable 13 pounds. Certainly a lovely find just outside Salisbury.
We had lunch on a sunny day. Good sized car park. Lots of room inside in different areas, the same outside. Never felt crowded. The menu was restricted, so my wife added chips to a whitebait starter for her main meal which she loved. The steak and ale pie was meaty, tasty with perfect pastry. Our friend's chicken less well received. However the service was the best. Welcoming and friendly and eager to accommodate dietary requirements. What a lovely place to eat.
Traditional pub, not far from Old Sarum. Good food, reasonably priced.
Perfect pub! Ideal for a family gathering with children or a quiet cosy romantic dinner for two! Excellent menu, friendly and helpful bar staff, well stocked bar and a welcoming atmosphere! Easy to find, easy to park! Go there now, just wonderful! Thoroughly recommend it!
I'd go again as it is a nice pub with friendly service, but I wouldn't order a Sunday roast again. A generous portion but overcooked meat and poor roast potatoes. The normal menu fish and chips, burger etc looks better.
Beautiful drive getting there, lush surroundings and a welcoming looking pub. It was busy at 1pm on a Tuesday so I recommend booking. The service could be faster but was great other than that. We had a good lunch including a baked camembert to share for our starter which was served perfectly with chutney, bread and crackers. We've already planned to go back
We called ahead of time to ask if we could bring our Cocker spaniel. We were met with 'of course we love dogs' From the second we walked in every staff member was smiling and happy. They all came over to fuss our boy. The food was outstanding and the service was impeccable. What an amazing little place hidden away in the countryside *****
