Really great food + beer and ambience. In holiday mode and felt so at home looked after the dog and us. Fish and chips was superb and much better than some of the pricier pubs nearby! A real gem we’ll be back
I stayed the night with my daugther to be local to the seven sisters cliff hike. The customer service was exceptional! Simon went over & above to accommodate & we appreciated it so much. Comfy beds we slept well. Breakfast was lovely with the best tasting sausages we've had. Will definitely come back & hope to stay for longer next time.
Pros: nice atmosphere, good range of drinks. Friendly staffnnVery disappointing desserts. Dessert menu is an outright lie.nCons: “Traditional lemon meringue served with ice cream” - there was NO meringue at all and only a teaspoon of ice cream. Just a lemon tart.nAnd “A slice of our homemade cake” is in fact a cupcake still in its plastic pot and plastic wrap from a factory.
Always enjoy the quiz night Wednesdays at 7pm although there’s been several occasions where table has not been reserved, despite calling to book.nnSoft drinks priced at the higher end.
A nice friendly hotel. Visited on a Sunday lunchtime. A good vibe in the bar with people eating and seemed to have good local support. It was busy. Parking on the side streets. We had a roast. Food was nice, veg not over cooked, not much meat. Pudding was good. Dog friendly with water bowls and treats. Would visit again.
