Absolutely fantastic! Really lovely meal, flavours were.just great. We were watching the pennies, so we shared a starter of haggis, then had a sharing plate - vegetarian, I think, and then a couple of scoops of sorbet. And I tried one of the cocktails! I am not a drinker so I have nothing to compare it to, but wow!
This tiny pub, just a bit larger than a large parlor in a tenement house, is the perfect place to squirrel yourself and best buds, away for a pint, dram or both. A few beers on tap, and a couple of dozen types of whiskey make for a nice selection. Staff is friendly. If you manage to get a seat, you are lucky. Otherwise just find a spot to stand, get a drink and strike up a conversation with someone.
Super cute but small bar attached to the famous chip shop. Great whisky selection, good cocktails, only three beer taps. Can get busy.
Quaint bar. Lovely atmosphere. Great staffService: 5/5
Wonderful little bar linked into the famous Chip Restaurant - nice place to stop for a drink or two while in the west end of Glasgow!
I called in here with two female friends not seen in years a local but now I live abroad. We enjoyed wonderful treatment and meal at Brell across the road and decided on the whiskey bar for a night cap.. as auld friends do. The young bar tender adamantly refused to serve me looking at his phone, polishing the till etc because I looked somewhat femme. I had to get my female friend to order drinks for the three of us - oh and yes, he accepted my payment - of course. In this day and age and especially in Glasgow's West End, I'd have thought LGBT awareness/acceptance was a given? Apparently not! The behaviour of this young man was sickening and an insult to me, returning to my adopted home town - I was glad to leave! I will not go there again and would not recommend it.
Visited on Saturday afternoon, and it was busy but managed to grab a table when a group left. There is a great atmosphere in the pub and we enjoyed ourselves however there is only 1 lager choice offered which wasn't to our taste so personally I wouldn't go back as so many other pubs in area to choose from.Service: 4/5
Snug, good whiskey selection and pleasant place to stop awhile. Went there on a Fri night, the rest of the bars were rammed but found an empty barstool here and a comfortable atmosphere so sat for a while, on my own, enjoying the reccomemded whiskey that the barman had expertly offered
Cosy and snug little place with a lot of character and characters Great selection of drinks and good service Pot luck if you can fit in thoughService: 5/5
Was in late on a Saturday this time busy. But great service and friendly good Bar staff. Have been there before always a great WeePub.Service: 4/5
