Amazingly good dinning pub. Friendly welcoming staff, exceptionally helpful! The food was brilliant and of restaurant quality. Top marks all round, enjoyed everything about this pub, a great find in Oban.
What a glorious and friendly pub! We went for lunch with our Labrador . Adam the bar man was the most attentive and friendly guy! Within minutes we had ordered drinks, this included our dog. Treats and belly rubs made the dogs day! The food was outstanding, beer and whiskey too. Definitely a highlight to our holiday! Adam and Lorne Bar... flipping fantastic!
Great atmosphere a very cozy pub with nice staff. The food was well prepared but the vegan linguine is really REALLY spicy, careful. Love the fact that there's always a cheesecake of the day. Amazing
We stopped here for lunch. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and proud about the locally sourced produce. We had the sea food platter, "the best mussels we've eaten". Dog friendly dog menu and refreshments Great food, atmosphere and staff.
From the outside this looks like an ordinary pub. But inside it is food heaven. I had scallops for starters which were divine. My main was seafood linguine better than any I've had in any Italian restaurant. Washed down with a pint of Saltire lager. I had no room for dessert, but will return for that. I'm on holiday in Oban. I'd return just to eat here again. FIRST CLASS FOOD!!!
Nice old fashioned pub with a small beer garden. Staff were really friendly, food was absolutely great and reasonably priced for decent portions. Dog friendly. Can't fault the place!
Excellent,great food lovley staff,you really do need to book,3 people were turned away when we were there.
Quaint family friendly environment with tasty food that was great value. The staff here were so helpful and engaging, we felt very well looked after.
Fantastic atmosphere and food, we had the nachos which wee excellent with the array of dips and vegetarian chilli which was all super fresh and tasty
This place is a gem Ordered the sharing platter as a starter, fantastic the mussels were the best I have ever tasted. The sauce was scrumptious but not too rich, perfectly balanced. The pate was wonderful and smoke salmon delish. We weren't done there mains were mussels again they were so good in the starter, it would be rude not to and also the most wonderful scallops with planchette and black pudding risotto. All I can say is if you are in Oban GO GO GO to the Lorne Bar!! Staff were lovely also, the perfect experience. Congratulations to the chef, a real talent
