I’ve given the Walter Arms the benefit of the doubt for the last time. I’m unable to understand how they are always so slow w food and service. They would greatly benefit from adding another server and cook during their busy meals. I’m tired of waiting for them to figure it out. Please train your staff. My £14.50 grilled chicken salad was a head of baby gem lettuce, some cheese, over cooked dry chicken and dressing. The burger was poor quality meat but everything accompanying it was nice. Still not worth £14. My kids £5 pasta was good except it came after we were served our mains. Not cool when you’ve got 2 impatient 1-year olds. So our food got cold while we had to feed them while they thrashed about because they were hungry. This is disappointing because it’s so close to our house and we love the garden.

Good pork belly, mash and broccoli, service could have been a little more snappy but our group was quite large. Price was £15, a touch dear by current charges. Pint of London Pride was well kept.

I know it well both as a pub and a restaurant. I last ate there in Nov.  Last week was disappointing as the menu seemed very limited.  We all settled for rump steak though two of us would have preferred something else. There was no white grilled fish or anything out of the ordinary. The steak was good but  I left disappointed.

Great place for really good food. Nice decor and vibes, but each time I've been there's been quite slow service. If you're not in a hurry then 5 stars.
