When I first experienced Cafe Rouge I think my expectations were too high (I hadn't realised at the time that they were a fairly big restaurant chain) and I was probably a bit harsh on them. If you're expecting 'proper' French cuisine then pay now and go elsewhere. If, however, you go in expecting reasonably priced, standard fare with a French theme then check it out. Service is generally very good and they're very child friendly, which is a big plus for us. You'll also struggle to get a better burger and fries in Wokingham!

Food was great but service was really slow. The place was kinda empty and still it took almost 2h to get 6 people served with starters, mains and deserts. Other than that, really chill with nice themed ambience and music. Could have just been one of those day for the service to be that slow.

Always a lovely atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is very nice and there's a good selection on the menu.

Friendly staff, clean place and tasty food. Only reason we have it four stars was because of the choice of beer, only one. Good wine choice. Would visit again.

How the great have fallen.What a shame clearly going (or gone) downhill. Asked if they could present the bill to us at 9.30pm closed at 10 (waiter already had his coat on) food bland...garlic soup didnt taste of garlic and risotto didnt have risotto (alborio ) rice and service uninspiring waiter just not interested. Went there for mussels ...guess what they'd run out. 2 stars is generous.
