We went for a six course taster and loved every dish. This chef has talent. The staff were great too. The beef rib was the nicest bit of meat I have ever eaten. The bread and butter was awesome and we will be going back. My only issue, and I am being picky because the food was all great, is the portions are a little on the small side. But don't let that stop you going, the food is top draw.
WOW WOW and WOW again. This is not just food, it's an amazing adventure. Every mouthful is an absolute delight. Get here soon as this brilliant young chef designs and delivers something exquisite to excite and sometimes challenge the way we think about food. He is destined for great things. A huge thank you to all the staff in creating a wonderful experience which we all loved, even my husband who is a fish and chip kinda guy. This is now my go to place for every special occasion!
We dined at the restaurant last night and it was probably the culinary highlight of our year! We had the 11 course tasting menu. 11 courses of absolute perfection! I could not believe the unique and delicious flavors the chef had created. Highlights were the hen of the woods mushrooms in broth and a passion fruit desert that is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever tasted. This meal was better than the experiences at some Michelin stared restaurants I’ve eaten in. The service was extremely friendly and we were able to see the young chef at work in the kitchen. It was well worth the £95 per head for the tasting menu a less expensive 7 courses was available as well. We will definitely be back when we next visit the region. Thank you for a fabulous evening!
Interesting dining experience. Food was prepared with excellence. Absolutely delicious. However the portions are so small as to be a parody. If asparagus are bountiful this time ofnyear, why not give us at least a whole spear? The ambience was very cool, grey tone. Sat looking into the men’s bathroom open door. Not so great.
Saturday lunch was a thoroughly enjoyable meal - the taster menu was a new experience for both of us. We loved all the different elements & having it prepared and served so professionally by the chef, Connor. He is clearly passionate about the menu & ensuring that the diners enjoy the meal. Richard is an excellent host, giving a warm welcome, attentive to everyone’s needs without being overbearing. We’ll be back sometime!
