I've stayed here a number of times for business and the rooms, whilst small, are warm clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant is very good and not overly priced. One thing that has changed and not been communicated at all well is that the included breakfast is now cold only and a cooked breakfast is extra. This is not the experience of every other visit I've made and the booking details did not advise it was now only a cold buffet. For me it's a real shame, I might have paid extra for breakfast if it was clear there was only a cold buffet but I'm not doing that when I believed, based on numerous previous visits, that cooked breakfast was included.
Came here for a birthday lunch. Food was lovely visited on a Sunday so it included roast dinners. We had a table booked as we were a large group, and would recommend booking as the pub filled up very quickly and is very popular. Would recommend going here, lovely food and atmosphere
Lovely B&B in the heart of Crickhowell. Room was lovely, modern and clean. Pleased we could connect to my Netflix account! Plenty of tea, coffee and milk too. Friendly staff.nnWe had our evening meal here too. Food was all really good! It was very busy and we were really impressed with how on the ball all the staff were throughout the evening.nnLovely beer garden with a pool table and darts. Dog friendly.nnOne thing to mention is access to the car park as it's so narrow! Apparently if you come from the square side so you're turning left into the alley it's easier than coming from the other side like we did.nnOverall 10/10! Thank you
Nice garden for summer drinks. Staff were great. It can get very busy, though. Food served outside arrives in a box, and the standard of that was okay. However, our portion size was small so we felt it was a bit pricey compared to other eateries in the area.
Having been to The Bear before a friend recommended the dragon inn so we thought we’d try it for dinner.nThe belly pork sounded great on the menu, but sadly when it arrived, it was pretty inedible being very rubbery and lacking any crackling which I would normally expect with belly pork. I did return it and they dealt with that very well offering an alternative meal instead which was far better well done.nThere is quite a limited range of beer and the IPA was unlike any IPA I’ve had before so I changed to Peroni which was £6.65 a pint !!!!nWish we’d gone to The Bear instead…..
