What niche place. A family friendly and pet friendly hide out. Parking available around the back, with outdoor sheltered and open seating and indoor dining. A bustling community hub. Everyone knows everybody here. A very chilled and relaxed environment. Good program of sports available to view indoors. 3 page extensive food menu- with a small section of meals for children. The meal portions are huge. Food is delivered piping hot, and the service is excellent. Managed to get the kitchen to agree to my bizarre request of food this afternoon- platter of fried cod, scampi and calamari. I was ecstatic that they delivered! - “thank you George- he works incredibly hard”. The pictures speak for themselves. Free WiFi inside with 2 slot machines and a music box for entertainment. This is the heart and soul of the village. Definitely recommend this dime of a spot! The vibe is chilled and cosy. - don’t pass by without stopping by here!
The Vine was our family's first ever PUB and they didn't disappoint. The staff took excellent care of us, explained their menu options clearly, and the food was prompt and very delicious!
Upon arrival I was a tad dubious, the lack of heating and unclean tables was tempting us to move on. However, as a publican I have learned to never judge a book by its cover. The fish and chips was huge and thoroughly tasty, the sausages 'sourced' from the butchers opposite were perfect and both the pies were delicious. Great surprise. Thank you for a lovely lunch.

Not from round here first visit, put in the marquee it was freezing it was January the food came it was quite cold and one was not what we ordered but ended up having it as we had waited quite some time. Not a very good first impression probably will not come again.
Came for a meal with friends who are locals and they had told us how good the food was ! Well…… they were not exaggerating. Sue the proprietor and chef cooked our five different meal choices. The food was absolutely outstanding. The burger beef was fresh ground and sourced from the local butcher and with genuine mature cheddar and fresh onions and lettuce. It’s hard to over state a little bit of heaven in your mouth. It’s difficult to get a cheese burger wrong but it’s even more difficult to make a cheeseburger such a pleasant experience which is what they did. The chips were Phenomenal ! The best chips ever. The service was very friendly and very helpful. The toilets were so clean and pleasant which says a lot! The ham egg and chips were outstanding and as for the carbonara it was nothing but genuinely homemade and lush with cheese and sauce accompanied by hand prepared and garnished garlic bread. Just fabulous. The only fly in the ointment today was unfortunately when we left it began to rain. Thank you The Vine we will be back !
Very welcoming. The coffee machine wasn't working so the instant coffees were free. Says a lot. Manageress very friendly. And I've heard the food is excellent too.
First time trying The Vine Buckden food and Im not dissappointed. Food taste amazing. Everything was nice fresh and hot.I order homemade halloumi fries and calamari and double bacon burger. Chef kisses
Lovely friendy village pub, serves doombar and adnams, whats not to like!!!
A perfectly ordinary English pub. The landlord opened up the back section to a group of us when we walked in without having to ask him to. Were met with smiles and friendly faces from the locals. The beer was good and came quickly. Price was quite reasonable too.
