One amber ale on tap and no other bottled ales. No bitter or Newcastle Brown or anything else. Atmosphere was okay and service was okay. Lots of TV screens showing sports. Probably a great pub for lager drinking football fans
When there is a fight in the car park last week with lads when the landlord and landlady have left a single young girl at risk running pub. Then within a week it escalates for their own staff being arrested in handcuffs, this is the time you realise how much the landlord and landlady have checked out of keeping custody of a community pub. Destroyed for everyone. They should be thoroughly ashamed. They have brought corner house pub culture to the Hunter. These idiots need removing by the pub co immediately.
Not a family pub anymore but full of unsavoury characters. They advertise food served all-day but actually it's when a member of staff is in or if they can stock the fridge for the menu. Every bank holiday this year the cellar has been inadequately stocked and beer has run out which has made customers walk away. They have an asset of community value which is disrespected, They have also allowed 18 year olds run the pub unattended by themselves for 6 hour shifts.
Very respectful and lovely afternoon at a low key family wake. Decent buffet and plenty of it. Always a good ale on tap too. Thank you.
Great to get back among friends in a proper family friendly local. Clean, safe and with a spacious garden. Even better is it's only walking distance from home!
Great pub, shows all the sports, good selection of food and really friendly staff. Not sure what else you need
Could do with a bit of an face-lift but the staff and land lord were extremely friendly
Not the best selection of beer but a wicked pool table and garden
Nice pub and the beer was good but when I asked about food the member of staff said not serving food today. I asked when they served food and she said no idea and usually only when the manager is there. I can’t really plan on having food if I don’t know when to come in. Unhelpful member of staff that obviously does not want to be there.
Up there with one of the best pubs in the Neot. Big garden for the kids, pool table, BT sports and Sky Sports. Staff could do with a hand at times. Pub quizes, bingo, fireman pull, etc theres usually something going on. They also do food - nothing special but the kids enjoy it.
