Lovely venue, staff and owners very friendly and welcoming, good selection of wines. Food delicious, great menu, not extensive but well thought out, gluten free, dairy free vegan and vegetarian options available. Fairly priced. Ample parking onsite. Disabled access. Immaculately clean toilets. Large garden. pods for groups outside if required. Highly recommend.
Hosts Fred and Nikki very friendly and welcoming. Lovely old building with great outdoor tables and covered pods. Ordered ciabatta sandwich with sausages, bacon and an egg. Couldn't even finish it! Delicious! Staff very good too. Highly recommended in this lovely little village, plenty of space in the car park.Food: 5/5
We went for a Sunday roast after reading reviews about it. It disappointed us. It's a nice pub in a nice location but for the price payed I won't really be going back. Meat beef was overcooked and cauliflower cheese was watery and pretty flavourless. Sticky toffee pudding I am pretty sure it wasn't homemade as the color and texture weren't right. Service was nice and friendly.
Lovely pub with large south West facing garden including tables with umbrellas for shade and a children's play area. Inside, the decor is understated with a rural theme that suits a village pub and makes the most of some nice original architectural features. Good selection of beers. Will be revisiting to sample the menu again, can't really comment on this as we haven't eaten here for several years. The Covid measures are really well implemented with good spacing between tables and clever use of clear panels. There is plenty of hand sanitiser and cleaning product available and table service makes it easy to stay safe. Brilliant as a refreshment stop and hopefully to be tried out still an excellent place to eat.
Early Xmas work soirée. Great service, Nikki was fabulous from booking, arrival and ensured our dietary requirements were met. Fred made sure our drinks orders were on point! Couldn’t fault the food or service. Thank you for looking after our party! Highly recommend.
Well thought out menu, gluten free, dairy free, vegan and vegetarian options. Ample on sure parking. Disabled access. Friendly staff and owners, very welcoming.good food at a fair price. Large garden with seating and pods for booking to eat outside Highly recommendFood: 4/5
Had an Irish experience on St Patrick's day, lovely food and great service. Will definitely go back again. The live music was a tad loud when we were eating but really great entertainment.Food: 5/5
Service from young chap at the table was super thankyou . Sunday lunch wasn’t as good as it used to be . Sadly beef over cooked , parsnips under cooked , thin watery gravy . Deserts of sponge pudding or Bakewell tart nothing special and Bakewell tart tasted stale .children enjoyed brownie and ice cream . Sadly we probably won’t return Parking: Good parking facilities
Booked a table here to try somewhere different as help to dine out. Social distancing and measures were very well controlled and good to see! Starters were brilliant chicken wings and sweetcorn fritters! My pie was nice but was expecting individual pie so felt bit short by a small slice and Salmon bowl looked brilliant packed full of veg and very colourful but the broth lacked flavour and seasoning was completely tasteless!! not sure what happened here such a shame as starters were so good perhaps we will return in a few months when menu options might have changed and improved.
Sunday roast is a must. Fantastic food and even better service. Thank you
