Very well kept frontage to this pub with lots of blooming flowers in the summertime. Spacious and well maintained beer garden with picturesque views to the countryside. Parking is free on weekends and bank holidays at East Farleigh Station. Best use of this pub is however as a watering hole to stop off at whilst on a walk or cycle down the river. Had drinks and snacks. The pricing seemed very reasonable and pub was quiet on a Saturday afternoon making it easy to get a table.
Great location close to East Farleigh train station the locks, foot paths along the river Medway to Maidstone or Teston. Unfortunately they did not have any hand pulled beers. Quite busy considering my visit was on a Monday. They have quite a large beer garden.
Food was excellent, totally fresh and delicious! Get loads for your money, proper stuffed! Nice and friendly pub, will go again!
Sunday lunch roast dinner. Plenty of it very well cooked. Reasonable price. This is a must go for the roast dinner. Staff are friendly and very pleasant. Save room for the home made dessert.
Sooo friendly and the food was great. My black wife and myself are horrified at the reviews claiming racism. We had a lovely welcome and Jolie the barmaid went above and beyond for us. Definitely 5 stars from us.
Although advertised on their website, no food available at all, and having to pay £4 to park car on railway property.
Went here on a nice sunny day. Myself and three others had soft drinks and must say they were disgusting. Two colas and two lemonades seemed liked they came straight out of an ash tray. If you ever want a smokey lemonade go here! Thought about having some food but bizarrely they only accepted cash payments drinks could be purchased via card though?????. The view can only add so much. Go across the bridge and drink at that pub instead.
What a great little pub. Very friendly and welcoming, just in the perfect place for a walk from Maidstone town centre to the bridge at East Farleigh, then nip up to the pub and a drink in their garden. They have a good stock of local craft gin from Anno distillers at Marsden, the Kent dry is delicious. They also do Sunday lunches!
Went here with a group of friends after kayaking on the river in summer 2020- it had a really unwelcoming vibe. We were scoffed at for asking for tea and coffee and made to feel really unwelcome. We were a multi racial group, not from the local area, and my impression was that might have had something to do with the pretty hostile reception. Avoid!
Lovely Pub! Came here with the Mrs and kids. The drinks are very reasonably priced. The pub garden is has a bounce castle and has a cracking view. Great for the summer.
