I had a fabulous experience at the North pole. I've been coming over the years but not very frequently. The bar staff/ waiting staff are super friendly and welcoming. Me and my boyfriend visited on Friday night and could not fault it. The food was fresh and delicious and the service even better. I wish I remembered the name of the lovely lady who serves us. You can tell this establishment care about welcoming new customers. Would highly recommend.
Our first visit to The North Pole & will definitely be returning. The pub has a welcoming atmosphere & the staff were lovely. The food was delicious, we were lucky that the Moules were available, before & after photos attached.
Doesn't look like much from the outside but is wonderful and warm on the inside. Plenty of seating, a fireplace, great steak £30 for fillet 8oz! Quite the outdoor area via stairs downward as well as two giant slides and wooden play equipment for kids. Separate space for parties and reservations but quite low ceiling with chandeliers to dodge for tall people! Great experience, daughter loved the bubblegum ice-cream too.
Stumbled across this pub by accident and now if anybody says which pub should we go to this is the place I suggest! The food is amazing and the garden is huge with a play area for the children. All of the tables have there separate canopy's so you feel you have your privacy while eating. Amazing highly recommend!
Had a lovely Saturday evening at the North Pole! It was a party of 27, Amanda and her team were very welcoming. Food was lovely, carvery for main was a lovely touch. Thank you for a great evening definitely will be coming back.
1st time we ate here is was brilliant we visited again recently and the dinner wasn't good, the chairs are too big for the table, the lay out of the pub/restaurant doesn't make sense, we arrived on time and our table wasn't ready this left us as a group of 8 stubling around the bar area round lots of other customers waiting, que times at the carvery the carvery isn't big enough for the many people deciding what they want and plating up by the time you get back to the table its stone cold. To put it simply theirs just not enough space in this pub for the capacity for a carvery, a better lay out and better fitting chairs would do wonders as a customer.
We went for the first time tonight with friends and will definitely return. Perfect food . Perfect surroundings and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a joy would highly recommend
A fantastic carvery. Piping hot and great meat, veg and home made yorkies. Very welcoming to our children, which makes a real difference. Lovely owners who make you feel at home. We will return ASAP.
The best pie I have ever tasted? YES! There is a reason why the pies are perched at the very top of the North Pole’s specials board. There is a reason why it is packed with punters. This traditional pub cares; it cares about well prepared, wholesome homemade food. It cares about its customers. You’ll smile like a cat that has got the cream when you receive the bill. Excellent value for money. If all pubs offered this experience, no one would need cook at home on the evenings.
Fantastic pies and the best service I think I've ever had in a pub. Thank you soo much. We'll be back to start work on the desert menu next time.
