The food and drink were simply outstanding. I tried a few different dishes and everything was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The beer selection was impressive, with a wide range of local and international brews to choose from. What really stood out to me, though, was the service. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a great time and that all my needs were taken care of. Their attention to detail and genuine care for their customers made the experience truly memorable. Overall, I would highly recommend this Victorian Inn to anyone looking for a great meal, a great drink, and a great time. If you want to experience the best of English pub culture, then this is the place to be!
Spacious pub in the Burnage area of Manchester. Got there about 8pm on a Saturday night. Very busy but still room to be seated. Bar staff were plentiful, efficient and friendly without being over the top or false. The draught Boddingtons was delicious. The toilets were clean and well stocked with soap and toilet roll. The driers worked. Not always a given . There was live music with Kieran Cunningham's Quare Craic. Actor/Musician Kieran is well known for his eclectic mix of traditional and modern ballads mainly Irish served up with heaps of country and western standards. All in all a terrific night out, and a lot of credit for this must go to the landlord and his staff. I've not been to the Vic for around 7/8 years and while it was never a 'bad ' pub, it has been turned into a ' must visit ' pub the next time I'm in Manchester. A big thanks to the staff and to the landlord, especially for the large glass of "pep " to cure my post prandial dyspepsia.
Lovely and clean. Friendly staff and drink is cheap. Had a lovely there last week with my family x
The Vic is a great pub to hang out at, with amazing cheerful staff. Nice tidy clean cozy atmosphere and such friendly fellow drinkers!. Perfect walk home location and safe parking, too. Outside seating to allows you to enjoy the perfect weather we've been having lately. Keep up the great work.
Great pub brilliant ba r staff
I'm not a regular visitor to the Vic despite living nearby. The pub was revamped a few years ago and the current landlord is a welcoming host who runs a good pub. When I first started drinking here it was a full-on, local Irish pub with good bar staff. Since the revamp they've lost the old school staff and have had a succession of young ones who are not necessarily understanding of the cultural group they're serving. I was in tonight and the pub had an accordion player performing, and a birthday party in progress. Two young bar staff were on duty. The young lad was courteous and interacted well with customers. The young girl was terrible and looked like she would rather be dead than serving the common herd. Sometimes people fall into bar work when it's obviously not their forté? Maybe a career as a traffic warden would be a better option for the young girl, and suit her skill set?
Shannon & Phil have done a great job since taking over. Great atmosphere with friendly staff. Weekends there is live music on and a good pint is always served.
Top pub girls an staff members excellent been coming for yrs since phill took over great vibe plus plenty of laughs, always something on from football to live bands plus sensational talent from very own areas not to be missed watch out for this pub don't mark it off when you're on your pub travels
