Lovely little dinner date today. We have been here a number of times for drinks, and once before for food. A lovely spot for a post walk drink or snack, and evening meals are great. Chris was very friendly and helpful.Food: 5/5
Great service and good food. Our Sunday roasts weren't hot enough which was a shame, especially since they are no longer such good value following recent price increases. Despite these reservations this was still an easy 5 stars from me and recommended. Keep up the great work, thank you.
Great looking pub , good atmosphere, nice surroundings , great service , freindly staff. Food was not up to the standards of the staff or surroundings . Very clean well kept Smothered chicken was good but the chips a little undercooked fish and chips was no taste to the Atlantic cod I don't recommend it at all. Food presentation is good . Portions on the small size for standard main meals. Great for lunch a and dinner. Enjoyable place to go always busy Only tried 2 dishes but there's a lot on the menu and it's only an opionion on the food other people may find the fish and chips perfect . Highly recommended Vegetarian options: Plenty of options and plant based foods Parking: Enter your reg inside or pay parking meter Kid-friendliness: Not really a place for a group of children .not much to occupy them . Maybe a family with 1 or 2 kids but it's not a place to take a crying baby. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy acces no issues for wheelchair users to go.
Not very good, to be honest. We ordered some pork on our main meal. We received two very small slices on each plate that were both tough. There was also a shortage of gravy, too. We both wondered why? I hope it isn't just me because the place was bouncing, so it must have a good name. We left disappointed, though.
Atmosphere was great because you can sit in the sun on a good day and very local to fletcher moss after a long walk and attracts a lot of lovely people. Camembert cheese was glorious, worth every penny and the sides accompanying it was also well paired. I will say, I’ve had many Sunday roasts around Manchester and The Didsbury serves the driest roast I have ever tasted. It served two thin slices of very dry pork served with a few tasteless boiled then roasted veggies and uneatable potatoes, you could tell it had been sitting underneath some heat for hours, the inside of the potatoes were quite empty, did not resemble a potato at all, more a rock as that it was how hard it was. The slice of crackling was the only nice part of the dish, everything else was awful. The fish and chips were quite delicious, seasoned well and chips had a nice fresh taste to them. Manchester has become a costly place, but I’d say if you want to make it worth it then the battered cod and chips and the cheese is worth it. Beers served flat, corrected when returned.
Very very busy but Miss Sophia was wonderful. Very attentive. A lovely afternoon spent in the company of friends, good food, better company, and to top it all off, the sun came out. Lovely beer garden, I must say. Thank you Didsberry and thank you Sophia!Food: 4/5
Went here for a meal when staying in Manchester to being my daughter's stuff home from digs after 2nd year in University. Service was excellent and there was a good choice of Vegan options for my daughter. My wife and daughter had the vegetable grill and I had the sausage and mash. We all really enjoyed the meals and desserts. Good choice of drinks at the bar too. In all enjoyed the evening and would definitely go again and thoroughly would recommend.
Great pub with good food. Capuccino was great though.Food: 4/5
Good pub, dog friendly, free parking if you use the tablets inside. The staff are friendly and the food is lovely. The outside area is a great size if you like sitting in the sun. We've been a few times, food some food and drinks in the afternoon and as part of the didsbury dozen
Delightful Dog-friendly. A hot summer day in Didsbury and where else to go but The Didsbury. Despite being very busy, our server Chris was incredibly attentive and made sure we were taken care of. The food is nothing fancy, but solid basics done well. We had the chicken burger which was divine. this place is very dog-friendly which was a big plus. The casual, laidback vibe was perfect for a sunny afternoon. We sat outside in their patio area which had a nice ambiance. If you're looking for an unpretentious spot with good service and a welcoming dog policy, definitely give this place a try. We'll be back the next time we're in Didsbury!
