If you like real bread this is the place to go. They have a good choice of different sourdough breads and some pastries, cakes and foccacia. Everything is so fresh and tasty, not comparable with supermarket bread. This place definitely worth a visit even if it's in some industrial zone. Staff is very kind and friendly.
Popped in when I was passing just to see what’s on offer. Don’t let the industrial park location put you off. The staff were really friendly. I had an almond croissant and a large slice of focaccia. Both absolutely delicious. Prices as you’d expect for artisan produce.
If you want good sourdough, you should try Leeds Bread Co-op. The focaccia is also fantastic. The prices reflect the quality of the ingredients and the work involved, but they are not far off what you would pay at Waitrose, and the taste is superior to any supermarket bread.
Lovely people, brilliant bread and pastries - a bit on the expensive side. It's worth it as it's such good quality, just wish I could afford to stop here more regularly. No absence of queues, even with limited opening and an out of the way location, which demonstrates how great this place is, and how committed people are to this Co-op. Really amazing bread, dense and flavourful, the sort that makes you wonder why you ever ate your usual loaf. A little slice of heaven
I've been eating Leeds Bread Co-op sourdough for years and it's always been consistently good. I've been picking up pre-ordered goods from the shop since lockdown and really like the cardamom knot as its not too sweet or sickly to have for an early breakfast. I hope they're around for years to come
Great bread and easy to go get some from the massive garage door. A little disappointed by the ginger cake, firey but a little dry. Maybe the slice I got was not representative.
Having discovered Leeds Bread Co-Op at a food festival, they have fast become my favourite local business. They're masters of their trade and the incredibly friendly staff really makes the buying experience really quite enjoyable. The team is active on both Twitter & Instagram to offer Q&A support. They're both great platforms to find the latest news on what they're doing day-to-day. A very recent experience had me ordering a vegan cake with them for collection a few days later. Unfortunately there had been a mix up and my order had not gone through properly, but they were more than willing to let me have some items for free as compensation. No hard feelings! * The most important thing to know is that everything is delicious!
The new click and collect service is great, website is smooth, collection is smooth, staff with great smiles. Bread tastes great, and look as good as ones on website.
Seeded sourdough. Heaven!! I have moved 22 miles away from the bakery but I'm still coming back for the bread! Can't find anything as good. Thank you for the click and collect option
An excellent bakery in a former industrial environment. They have unique selection if breads which cannot be found anywhere in Leeds, such as a Vollkornbrot or a Mischbrot and several varieties is sourdough breads. Their Foccacia is unmatched - you cannot find this kind in any supermarket! Do not let the slightly drab environment deter you - this is by far the best bakery in Leeds, and I predict that they will some time have another venue which matches their products. Really enthusiastic and devoted employees, proud of their breads and very knowledgeable about all related to baking and breads!
