Stayed here for an evening for a friends wedding, the place itself is pretty much in the middle of nowhere so very difficult to get taxis etc which were unaware of, however Mikey the new owner was different class and drove all 6 of us via two trips to the venue at his own expense, then even offered to get us after midnight. Went above and beyond, what he is doing with the place is great and I'm sure in the next 12 months it will be even better, would definitely recommend if you are up that way for business or pleasure. I didn't stay but came in for the open mic night last Saturday. It was a lovely atmosphere and Mike was very hospitable all night.nnLove that their another venue supporting the rich array of musical talent in Llani. Also, the chips and the tequila are banging!
29/10/25: A warm welcome will be had here. The tavern is under new management and the atmosphere within is extremely friendly encouraging to locals and those who are travelling through. The deco is clean fresh looking and dogs are welcome in a section of the front lounge.
Mikey is a genuinely warm, welcoming and friendly host. The Unicorn was a wonderful venue for friends and family to come together and spend time celebrating the life of a very special person, Graham.nDrop in and say hello, you'll be made very welcome and feel right at ease.nHuge thanks Mikey and lots of luck in your new venture.
We had a lovely visit to the Unicorn Hotel. The rooms are beautiful and freshly refurbished and the owner couldn't be more welcoming. Highly recommend the hot chocolate! Thank you, Mikey!
