'The whistling badger' as it is now is a place with bundles of character and a lovely atmosphere.... good choice of beers and gin for the connoisseur. The room I am stopping in for the week is more than adequate. Also the tapas menu is a pleasant surprise and well worth a try.... staff are delightfull and accommodating so all in all a great place to stop and would recommend

Great old fashioned pub with great pub grub. Dog friendly as is most of Wales.

The Royal Head is a delightful venue and we were extraordinarily well looked after by the staff. The food was deliciius and we were very well served. We will definitely visit again and would recommend The Royal Head to anyone who appreciates the best in service and good food. Bravo to all!

In may it was my second time in Llanidloes and if you would ask me for an advice for a pub, i would definitely prefer the royal head. nice team, nice guests - see you next year. greetings from germany. Chris & Anne
