This is more than a pub doing food, it's a high class restaurant that serves good beer. Top quality owner with smart efficient staff. The food is very well presented which makes it pleasing on the eye and palate. The Tytherleigh Arms also has some very comfortable accommodation making it a very good place to stay. I'm local farmer who likes food with flavour, so I highly recommend you try it for yourself. Will Henry Vigus

Gastro pub where service and quality of the food is superb. Knowledgeable and friendly staff and a changing menu mainly of seasonal local meat, fish and product. Always has a vegetarian option or two. The owners have worked very hard to reach excellent standards. Well worth a visit. Average two course and drinks say £25 - £30 per head.

Lovely place to eat. The place looks great, the food looks great and most importantly tasted excellent. Unfortunately we're not local as we'd love to visit again.

Superb menu, very well priced for the lunch diner. Very difficult to resist the desserts and want to try the evening menu now! Didn't investigate the accomodation but got a glimpse of some cute looking chalets which might be a suitable base for visitors to the area on walking weekends or similar.

Absolutely gorgeous food. We came for a double date with a couple of friends for a Sunday lunch. After hearing great reviews from friends, it was rumoured that the chef from the abode (The Royal Clarence) was now cooking in this restaurant, before previously working under the watchful eye of Michael Caines. Regardless of the authenticity of this claim, the food matched the expected standard. It's was sublime. We will definitely be coming back again.
