Wow. Called in today with the wife and our little dog. What a lovely place this is. The staff are very nice and friendly and the prices are good. We had the Sunday lunch which has been the best lunch we have had for a very long time. Roast chicken, mash, Yorkshire pudding, gravy, roast potatoes and some veg. It all was fab. Dog friendly place too at the bar area. Would definitely recommend that you visit. Then just a short ride or 10 mins walk and you are at Hadrian's wall. Will be back again next year.

Very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. We had Sunday dinner and it was the best food I’ve tasted. Worth the trip to dine here

Excellent bar and restaurant with attentive staff and a great menu. Warm welcome and dogs are allowed too. The pub is popular with people walking Hadrian's Wall. Good range of beers from the microbrewery on the premises. B&B also available.

Having visited Twice Brewed before whilst staying locally at a National Trust cottage at Once Brewed, and enjoying the atmosphere and food, my husband and I booked our Christmas lunch here for yesterday. We have a dog and because he wasn't allowed in the actual restaurant, we opted to eat in the bar area. We couldn't have been made more welcome - super friendly staff, blazing fire and great service - and then came the food! A fantastic 5-course meal, (lots of choice), beautifully cooked and presented, with such generous portions that we had to ask for a doggy bag! Apparently this is the first time they have done Christmas lunch - hopefully they will repeat next year. Well worth travelling 200 miles for! Thanks to everyone involved, but especially to Melanie, Leigh, Carla, Catherine, Shannon and of course the Chefs!

Great food, incredible service! We came in after a long day of hiking around Hadrian's Wall in the 2° weather. Our pup was exhausted, hungry, and covered in mud, but from the time we walked in, Melanie took care of us. She quickly took stock of the dining room and sat us on the opposite side as 3 other dogs, so as not to cause a ruckus. She made sure we had everything we needed and even got our little 4-legged mud monster a delicious snack! The food was delicious as well, and we were all quite satisfied by the end. We will definitely return!
