"We are a camping and glamping site 1 mile from Hadrian's wall. Here you can relax and enjoy the glorious Northumberland landscape and be surrounded by the amazing wildlife. We have grass and hardstanding pitches and for the glamping enthusiasts we have a bell tent and 4 beautiful shepherd huts. Our campsite is ideal for those with tents, campervans, motorhomes, caravans and for those backpackers walking Hadrian's wall. We have great facilities with powerful, hot showers and in high season we can do breakfast rolls with tea and coffee."

Stayed here in a tent for 2 nights, and it was a very pleasant experience. The tent pitch was away from other tents as none of them were packed too close to each other. The common facilities were very clean and the hot water was so good, I took extra showers just because it took away the days tiredness. We purchased the fire pit with logs at a reasonable price and sat outside the tent with the fire on. The location is very good with a bus stop not too far. However, we took our car to YHA and parked there to get the bus. There is breakfast in the morning which looked nice but we didn't try it as we had our own food. Overall I would highly recommend the place. People are so nice too.
Stayed late October. Very peaceful campsite. Great value for money. Perfect place from which to explore Hadrian's wall. Very friendly welcome. Owner Steve was very informative about access to Hadrian's wall / museums etc. The pitch was level, great view, with water tap and powerful electric hook up. Everything you need done very well.
We stayed in the Shepherd's Hut at the lower end of the campsite. As far as we're concerned prime position. Lovely views over the hills. The hut itself is fabulous. Everything you need. We were amazed at how the space was utilised. Very comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean. Outside space is great. We will be booking it again so definitely recommend. Check in was easy, staff are lovely. Very helpful and friendly.
The campsite is in a perfect location to explore Hadrians Wall with the bus Route into Haltwhistle just at the end of the road. We were greeted very politely and shown round the site. The facilities were very clean and warm and exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend staying here!
What an amazing campsite. Immaculately clean. Traveling with a young adult with disabilities can be difficult but this was the perfect site. Trscey and Steve couldnt have been more welcoming or helpful. Disabled facilities excellent and again spotless. Tracey ensured we had an accessible plot . So quiet and tranquil. The perfect conditions for a restful night sleep. Do bring a torch. We were unlucky unlucky with the cloud cover but I imagine it would be amazing for star gazing. Thankyou for a wonderful break.
Stopped in a Shepherd's Hut for a couple of nights. Everything you needed, toilet, shower, cooking equipment, electric heater and wood burner plus firepit/BBQ outside. Ideal location for walking up to the wall.Rooms: 5/5
Tracy & Steve were really accommodating, helpful and friendly! The views from the site were lovely, especially at sunset. We were in the perfect central place to visit all of the places we wanted to and within walking distance of one of the best parts of Hadrians Wall. The facilities were kept spotless and fully functional and the breakfast rolls were lush! Couldn’t possibly have asked for more, Thank you for making our first proper family holiday in 3 years so comfortable and enjoyable!
Lovely campsite, great setting and layout. Friendly owners, good, clean facilities, radio playing in shower block a nice touch. Good views and walks...dog friendly. Breakfast rolls available and some basic supplies. Even had the ducks visit us during our stay....would definitely return.
Very well kept campsite. We stayed here on our way up to Scotland. Friendly staff and delicious breakfast rolls. It's nice and quiet, very clean and walking distance from hadrians Wall. Would definitely recommend.
The four of us and our two puppies had an excellent three day stay. The campsite was immaculate and had brilliant amenities. Tracy was friendly and could not do enough for us . Everyone staying on the site was friendly and polite. There was all sorts of wildlife on or around the site. It is very idyllic. We will definitely be returning in the near future.
