Very nice and cosy place, on arrival we were greeted by the general manager who was very friendly and warm. The food was excellent, thank you to kitchen teamGeorge, Macio, and Joe and to the waitress who served usEllie because she was very attentive and courteous. Highly recommended
Cosy pub with great food! Staff always super friendly too. We’ve been here for the cooked breakfast and most recently their Sunday roast. Both absolutely delicious. Cooked breakfast had the best sausages I’ve ever eaten! Their roast was so filling - everything cooked to perfection, the rosemary carrots were a particular favourite of ours. Special mention to the kitchen team for a fab job - Rob, Marcia, Mark and Joe. Our server Ellie was so lovely too. Definitely recommend!!
The turnpike Yarnton what a fantastic place this is a very spacious pub very well decorated warm and cosy wood Fires Burning had our Christmas evening meal there the food was fantastic good selection of beers great service the staff were so helpful and friendly they couldn't do enough for you 100% perfection our thanks to Celine and her team Kim Holly Rob Matt Connor and Amber I have eaten here a few times before and definitely comes with my recommendation 5-stars cheers Vince
Really nice draft, bubbly and smooth, perfect temp. I like my ales and was not disappointed. Had the calamari, delicious, cajun mayo was spicy , batter was light, seasoned well and the fish was tender, juicy and full of flavour. 5 star, staff was attentive and friendly. Will come again
Nice Food, friendly staff and a cosey environment. Wood fires burning away give it a real country feel even though you're seconds from a busy A road. Large beer garden onsite too with a decent sized car park to the side of the pub which is straight off the roundabout. Happened upon this pub as I was passing through Oxford. Would recommend to anyone! This place is also dog friendly
It was a lovely atmosphere. Lovely service. Beautiful and delicious food .. it's a 5 star in my book!!!!
All staff were very friendly and I was greeted with a warm welcome! Lots of great menu choices - something for everyone. I had the fish and chips and would highly recommend, it was very tasty and the batter was crispy. Our server, Mia was very friendly and made us feel welcomed ensuring that we had everything we needed, providing us with a superb experience. Will definitely be revisiting again soon!
Served by Jess, Mane and Joe in the kitchen. Absolutely superb meal of a cod wrap, halloumi skewer w pitta bread, followed by creme brulée, and a mango and passionate fruit parfait. Great service too, felt well looked after.
We had a delicious meal last night at the Turnpike. Your team brought a birthday cake to the table I bought in for my wife earlier. The staff were great and the food was as mentioned delicious. We will return for another meal soon. The refit of the pub was very welcoming and homely. Just the place to relax and just have a drink or even a meal. Thank you David
What a lovely place. We were a party of 6 booking at the last minute as the restaurant at the Premier Inn we were staying at were not taking drop ins due to staff shortages. Well to be honest we ended up being very grateful as Conner, our waiter, sat us in a lovely private area and ensured our experience was great. The festive menu at £30.95 for 3 courses was great value and the portion sizes were fab. Definitely recommend this place
