Have been to  meals at The Red Lion.  Have always enjoyed them.  Went this week with a visiting friend and we ordered a sandwich , Prawns in Marie Rose Sauce. The sliced bread was so dry, like toast and just 5 prawns.  Such a shame.

We had a Wonderful Christmas dinner, full plates of all of what your Christmas dinner should have and more! Very friendly and thoughtful staff especially as both elderly parents were unable to join us due to illness and let us take their Christmas dinner to them, very much appreciated. Definitely worth the 5 stars given and would recommend to friends as we left with rather full tummies and very content. Thankyou all for super day.

Had  food today.  Was apprehensive as last time wast as good as it should of been   had rump steak today and cooked to perfection.  Great afternoon with good music too.

Red Lion today was brilliant.  My colleagues and disabled people we look after took them to the pub as they welcome all customers with no restrictions.  The food was plentiful and very quick after ordering.

Starter and dessert were fine, the main course being turkey with trimmings was disappointing, we waited well over 45 mins for it to arrive after our starters were cleared. Some of our table had actually finished their mains when ours came, obviously the kitchen wasn't coping with the large group numbers.

Good beers on tap, always showing football, but with a nicer atmosphere than a typical sports pub.

Really nice meal,very big pub and very clean.forgot some of my order but was served by friendly staff and value for money.will go there again.also do a good breakfast.

Called in on the way home from the Churchill, ordered drinks and food, and the food came 10 minutes later, exactly as I ordered, with absolutely nothing wrong with any of it! It has taken ages to find a decent pub that serves outstanding food for a very reasonable price! Will definitely return very soon, and a big well done to all the staff there, very enjoyable.
