I really wanted this to be good, the setting was beautiful and the staff were lovely, incredibly helpful and professional. But it is really let down by it's food. I went on a Sunday and all they have is a roast, I mean literally all they have. There is no choice whatsoever. I had checked the website beforehand but it wasn't obvious that this would be the only option on a Sunday. I ordered the lamb roast but what appeared was honestly a slab of fat with a bit of meat in the middle. Not impressive for £14! They did try to change it for beef for me, but sadly the beef that was made that day was rare and I really don't like rare beef, it was clearly not my day! So in the end I paid £14 for a plate of vegetables! I wouldn't go back while the menu is this limited, if the menu changed I would try them again as the setting and staff are wonderful.

We came in for a social night during a gliding course - nice place (a bit out of the way but worth the trip) in pleasant location. The food was delicious and they've got a good selection of real ales - decor is interesting too 😃

Was recommended by a friend but turned out to be a highly disappointing visit. All 3 meals were not what was ordered. When returned 10 minutes later, it still wasn’t right. The pie was heavily over cooked and despite being tole it was it chicken, ham and leek found that it had mushrooms in it. Was told it didn’t. The only good thing was the fact we weren’t charged anything at all and a round of free drinks was provided in lieu of the dreadful experience.
