Centrally located pub with swarm open fire, stripped back wood furniture and a relaxed feel. Service was adequate but the food really let's it down. A plate of charred vegetables that looked old, a large mushroom from the deep fat fryer on the steak, a pot of melted butter with a stilton flavour are just a few examples of why I wouldn't eat here again. Could be fab in the right hands.

Modern twist on an old english country town pub theme...lots of wooden beams large open fireplace in winter. The food is good quality nice price and well portioned. Bat staff are great and you will often find solo artists playing live music over the weekends. On the downside it doesnt feel particularly "cozy" if thats what you are after. It is clean and airy with wooden furnishing. Good selection of beers and spirits. Great place..

We had lunch here on a Saturday in March, We had the burgers (beef and chicken) food was excellent, a cut above what you would expect for pub grub, good value.
