Have visited this place twice in the space of 4 months, stayed in the lodge both times. Food is absolutely amazing! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms in the lodge are comfortable and well equipped. Have enjoyed both stays so much, we booked another stay in February! Highly recommended, can not fault this place one bit!
Booked in for evening dinner on the first night stay at the campsite next door. This place is dog friendly which is great as you can walk along the canal and have a few drinks as well. Food was good value for money and served hot to the table. Only down side is there is no wheelchair ramp. In order to get to my table I had to.go through three doors, each time having to get out my chair and wait for.someone to bring it through after me, the go up/down steps!. Luckily I can stand and walk short distances with sticks but if someone who has no mobilty were to visit it would be a real problem. There are also steps inside but no ramp offered. Therefore I have not given a high rating, just medium as someone here needs to get the place up to standard for the equalities act. The staff were apologetic and said no idea why they don't have ramps! Happy to revisit and help the owner understand the issues and discuss how to make life easier for disabled guests, as we only live 30 minutes away.
Bedrooms very comfortable, warm and well equipped. Food good quality and value. Staff friendly and relaxed. A very good choice to use as a base to explore this area. Minutes away from Wetlands, yards away from miles of canal towpath walks. Excellent....
Really tasty meals. I had fish and chips, the batter was nice and crispy and they have the best tartar sauce I have ever had. The Yorkshire pudding was over done on the roast, but one it was mentioned to the very friendly staff it was remade.good size portions even in the small meals at a good price Lovely atmosphere. A good way to end a nice day out
Food was delicious, and they had a good variety of gluten free choices! Stayed in the b+b too which was lovely. A comfortable room with everything you need. Would recommend. All the staff were friendly and hardworking.

Fabulous spacious room! The bed was lush and cozy, shower was excellent and the amenities were ample. Check in and out was quick and easy. Lovely stay with fab walks all around. Will be back.
Good lunch after visiting Slimbridge wildfowl centre. Not over priced, menu not crammed with too many choices. Pleasant welcome. Will return for Christmas menu lunch. Recommended.
Thanks everyone who put up with me while I waited on the AA. You were all very patient and helpful. It was a long wait, almost 5 hours. Sadly due to the bad weather our ladies lunch had to be delayed until the 8th of January when hopefully the weather will be better. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.
Website and photos do not do the accomodation justice. Beautiful, clean, modern and comfortable. We were very impressed on check in and had absolutely no regrets on choosing this for our overnight stay when visiting Slimbridge WWT. Highly recommended.
