Great friendly staff. Food was beautiful, in presentation and taste, we even stayed for dessert sundae was taller with cream and brownie presented in the top, but had to crop the photo. Price is a little higher than similar places on some items, but for the quality, I would definitely go again. Nice and quiet on a lunchtime, nice and warm, clean facilities.
We showed up unannounced with 40 people and they accommodated us for food and drink. They're also dog friendly. It's on the canal with a nice easy walk nearby we did to let them prepare for 40 people.
Such a friendly, comfortable, picturesque place to have lunch, Incredibly dog friendly too. Perfect place to stop for a highly recommended, very generous portion, of ribs and a pile of creamy garlic mussels
Two of us went for lunch yesterday. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had a table overlooking the canal which was lovely despite the rain. Our food was nice, I had cannelloni with spinach and ricotta with salad and garlic bread which was really tasty. My friend had ham, eggs and chips which he said was very good with decent slices of ham. The chef came out to see if everyone enjoyed their meals which was a nice touch. Coffee was enjoyable. The total including drinks came to £29 which I thought reasonable. I'd definitely return.
Had the gammon steak and the apple crumble. Very friendly staff. The food was better than the average pub food, worth a visit.
Nice stopover with van.eventhough next to a road it was reasonably quiet.lovely food ,staff and dog friendly .
Turned up early for a nearby wedding so decided to pop in for a pint. Not a bad decision! Would've liked maybe a local beer on tap, but the Doom Bar was good. Very friendly staff, and a massive beer garden. Nice views towards the canal. Didn't have anything to eat but plenty of others tucking in.
Popped in for supper & wasn’t disappointed. Delicious homemade steak n onion pie with plenty of veg & lush gravy. Definitely hit the spot. Girlfriend had a tasty vegetarian burger which she really enjoyed Even Jazzy the Spaniel enjoyed her bit of pie Will be returning very soon.. Thank you
Went for lunch, it was my first visit there. The staff were friendly and efficient. The service was prompt and the food was delicious and good value for money. Beer garden was great. I will recommend the pub.
Our first visit here. Even though it was a busy football match night England vs USA the food came out pretty quickly, was piping hot and delicious. Also nice to see, when the busy table to us emptied it was cleaned properly and even swept underneath with a dust pan and brush so the next occupants didn't have to stand in the childrens food left behind by the previous occupants. Little things like that make a difference so well done
