Delicious food, lovely service and gorgeous little old pub atmosphere. Most pubs have been converted into spacious and bare environments, this keeps the old pub style alive yet it is very clean, fresh and well kept. Very good little find, with thanks to the chef for accommodating us.
What a fantastic great local pub. Great food and beer. One of the best meals I have ever had. Compliments to the chef and kitchen. I will look forward to eating here again! Highly recommended.
We decided to go to the thatched inn for a pint and a pub lunch. Wow. We were not expecting to be so impressed. We parked right outside on the road next to the pub, we brought our dog and the place is very accommodating, there is a gorgeous outdoor seating area with plenty of cover from the rain and there’s even heaters in there too. We ordered red velvet prawns on the specials board and calamari to share as starters and my dad was super impressed with the calamari, we’ve tried many calamari’s in many different places and this was absolutely delicious. For mains we had two fish and chips and one loaded katsu chips. Again very delicious fresh made food. We did not expect to be so impressed. When we next end up in bideford this will be the first place we come back to for sure!
Spacious thatched village pub with terrific menu and super friendly staff. We were a party of 8 with 4 children. Food was good, vegan option was delicious. Quirky series of rooms to eat in. Outside space was good with a sheltered area for eating.
Nice pub. Well kept with great outside area which can be used all year round. We have popped in for a short break during our walk. Recommended.

Took my doggo and Dad on Sunday, while holidaying in the area. Picked because it is Dog friendly and has undercover area for you to eat with your doggo. Food was lovely and enjoyed. Only problem is there is no car park so you have to find a parking space on road. Well worth visiting, would definately go again if in area.
Was looking for a dog friendly place to have a bite to eat and this place was returned on a Google search Was a bit quiet even though I expected it to be busy on a bank holiday lunchtime. We had to sit outside with the dog, unfortunately the booths other speak of were all taken or reserved. Staff were friendly Fish and chips was very good Chicken burgers was ok Prices reasonable
We visited for a family celebration, 10 people and 2 dogs, and had our own room tucked away in the pub which was perfect. The service couldn't have been better and we all enjoyed our food too. Would definitely recommend
