Christmas day drinks, first visit and can't say anything bad about this place to be honest. Always appreciate an owner opening up on Christmas for a few hours so respect where it's due. My lads played on the free pool table while the wife and I sunk a few Kraken and ginger beers..hit the spot with a good time had by all.
Had a meal tonight, absolutely excellent ,brilliant value for money and sevice was top class, Young waitress was ten out of ten. Very satisfied a day would highly recommend it.
Superb food that makes you feel glad to have eaten it. Extremely friendly staff. Even the locals use it a lot so it must be good.Rooms: 5/5

What an amazing Sunday lunch experience. A warm welcome for 2 adults and a dog, no booking seated in the very comfy bar area and served with lots of smiles. I had roast lamb and dinner companion had stuffed pork belly. I wish I had photographed our meals, what a picture! Both meals were so delicious with just the right amount of fresh vegetables and huge tasty Yorkshire puddings. We'll be back for sure...and soon! Oh and there is parking behind the pub.
Lovely pub, very busy so booking ìs advised. Laid back atmosphere, no rushing tables through. Food is super tasty, well presented and fresh. Great value for money. We recommend the mussels or beer battered catch of the day, although every dish we saw looked superb. The puddings are generous as indulgent, we'd recommend the sticky toffee pudding and ghe local cheese board. Staff are friendly and attentive. We'd love to visit again
Been a couple of times this weekend as holidaying in the area. The food is outstanding.... everything we had has been way beyond expectation and also great value. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Cannot recommend highly enough.
A lovely place, very welcoming. They do special evening, like curry night . . . we went on the Tuesday for the quiz evening. There are different seating areas. And great food here.
Great place, food fantastic and great value. staff really lovely. Highly recommended xx
Popped in here for lunch with my mother and my partner, we were not expecting too much, but the food turned out to be very good. I had the pie of the day and my partner the burger. Cooked well, served well, delicious vegetables...I would certainly go back. The friendly barmaids had a good chat with my mother who was originally from the village.
