What a little gem of a find! We have just spent a week in Westward Ho! And had 2 meals here, the food was fantastic. I recommend the pork tomahawk and the cod curry. My husband had the ploughman’s and the Cesar salad and enjoyed both and my son the sausage and chips. Staff were friendly and dogs welcomed, we will be returning again in the near future.
Lovely dog friendly pub. We were seated in a nice quiet area for the dogs. They have their own doggy menu which i love! Kept the dogs quiet while we ate our food. Everything was delicious and good portion sizes. Dessert was definitely the best bit, love the little white chocolate pig. Nice little touch.
Just had our work Christmas meal at The pig on the hill and it was so good. The food was excellent with the turkey main course being outstanding. The staff were very attentive and really nice. Would highly recommend.
Great meal had to have 3 courses because everything was so nice. Nice friendly helpful staff try it I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Great food and drinks. Really good location and well designed restaurant. We went twice and tried a few things on the menu, all were good . Staff were really friendly and accomadating.
Just WOW! Fantastic meal for great value tonight. 5 adults and a 3 year old all had 5 star meals: 2 x beef bourguignon, 1 x Cauliflower Sharma, 1 x bubble & squeak and 1 x pork tomahawk pictured & 1 x kids pizza. All meals were EXCELLENT - tried the Sharma which was delicious, didn’t get a chance to try the bourguignon as both disappeared v quickly. M-i-L’s bubble and squeak and wife’s Sharma are both meals I will try to imitate as they were fantastic. My pork tomahawk was sublime - cooked to perfection, the sauce complimented perfectly and the chips were cracking too! Actually nothing to fault as the pizza was excellent too. Had panna cotta between main meal and dessert which was in line with the main meals - delicious I’ve run out of complimentary adjectives. Went with chocolate dessert I rarely get the chance as I have an allergy to nuts and peanuts, FFS - AMAZING!! The wife declined dessert then ate 1/4 of mine after tasting it. Coffee was great, piggy blinders was a great pint and the ladies enjoyed a decent bottle of white. Service was attentive, friendly and professional. We all felt the bill was excellent value ~£150. A perfect evening meal for our holiday and only gutted that we only tried this on our last night in Devon. My wife and I will definitely have this as a return trip if we come anywhere in Devon again. Could not recommend enough - do yourself a favour and book in for an exceptional occasional with very good value.
Was told to try the Pig on the hill as somewhere great to eat and with its outside space and mini farm I think well at least cows and geese - called in later and during the wetter weather so had food and drinks which we enjoyed our time with polite team and clean premises - will go back as a good recommendation
Great service, incredible food you won't be disappointed. Good selection of real ales and cider if you want to unwind with a garden and outside seating Highly recommened if you are in the area
Amazing food. Oddly enough they do pork very well! Also loved their risotto with quail eggs. Can't recommed enough.
