Super-Welcoming Eatery/Drinkery... I used to visit this place on a regular basis, back when I was living in this part of the country. Having been here a couple of times now when I've been in town, I have to say that the Tavern still scores full marks on so many fronts. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Drinks are priced fairly, and the food is of good quality, and the atmosphere is unfailingly welcoming. The Tavern really does score full marks across the board. Pro-Tip: If you're planning a function, the Tavern has two rooms available for hire. Prices for this are more than reasonable, and the Tavern's staff will bend over backward to make sure that everything is just perfect, no matter what you have planned.

Nice friendly place. Good beer, kind staff, clean facilities. Even let us take our fish and chips in the pub. Huge function room too. Highly recommended.

Great food and a really nice atmosphere. Went to see a band in the excellent function room at the back.
