Wonderful evening with friends for a long overdue catchup. Staff were friendly and welcoming which is what you want when coming into a pub for drinks. We had stopped using The Ship because if the rude attitude of the previous owner. The new crew are great, keep up the good work and we will definitely be back.
Wonderfully day. Had my dad's awake here. So professional, loving food buffet was plenty. 100% fantastic rateing
Stopped by for a snack lunch. Enjoyed a fish finger sandwich with a side of chips so my dog could have a few and a pint of real ale. All very nice, couldn't quite eat it all as the helping was generous. I will be back!
Amazing service and food. A group of 20 of us had the Christmas set menu here last night and it was absolutely lovely. The tables were decorated and really Christmasy. The new owners are fantastic and have really turned the pub around.
Very good food and the staff was polite and friendly. If you are a fan of decent pub food then I would definitely recommend this place. Not cheap but you definitely get what you pay for here.
Just want to say that the sea bass I had last night was absolutely delicious! It was beautifully presented and came with salad and a dish of new potatoes. If you like to eat fish, the selection at The Ship is excellent!
What use to feel like a nice warm traditional pub has changed since the new ownership has taken over. You will feel rushed and just seen as £££. Manners cost nothing and in a customer facing industry they are extremely important. Sad to be writing this, will only visit again under new ownership. Will most likely get a reply stating there rudeness is somehow my fault
Nice friendly pub serving food in the Centre of Great Clacton. Helpful staff. We were looking for cake and coffee..which proved to be a rare commodity in the area, but they did the trick. Clean toilets and a small car park. We will go again.
A nice pub with a "local" feel about it. The kind of place you feel welcome when you just go in for a pint or two. Any pub serving Timothy Taylor's Landlord gets my vote, anyway.
Can't say anything negative I felt welcomed and warmed in there and I have to say the bar staff were accommodating and positive at every turn and I had some food and it was to an amazing standard. Thank you all at the ship
