Gorgeous little park to feed the ducks and squirrels. Ideal spot for a picnic. No dogs allowed, but this is to protect the birds and their nesting.
Great park near to Mottingham station with a lake in the middle which is home to lots of different birds including geese ducks and the occasional heron. Very cheeky squirrels who will run right up to you begging for food. If you are lucky you might also get to see the carp in the Lake, and on an extremely rare day, the resident turtle or terrapin I'm not sure exactly what it is. There's an ice hole dating back to Henry the 8th and on summer Sundays the pavilion is opened by the Friends of the Tarn for tea and cake. Definitely worth a visit any time. Note there are toilets but they usually seem to be closed.
Interesting spot of green. Lots of ducks and geese.
