I had to wait until my second visit before writing a review just to make sure that my first visit wasn't a fluke. I'm pleased to say that my second visit was as good as the first and in some respects even better. This time I selected different Tapas dishes and I have to say that they were as delicious as on my previous visit. The portions are generous and the presentation is appealing, I love the wooden paddles and individual frying pans that they are served in. The staff are extremely accommodating and focused on making your dining experience a memorable one. I ordered a bottle of wine; nothing wrong with it other than the it was a little too "bright" for my taste. This is no reason to return a wine but the staff offered to replace the bottle with a different one; I declined as there was nothing wrong with the wine, after 15 minutes the brightness faded or perhaps after the first glass I stopped caring. I have never encountered such attention to customer satisfaction in all my years of dining out, at the time of writing this review I'm making another reservation for this weekend.
Lovely dog friendly place. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food was nice. The only negative is that meat balls and some other stuff , by the time arrived to the table there were cold. Also paella would be nicer if it had a bit more of seafood.
We cannot thank Jackson and his team enough for our recent wedding reception at the Tapestry. The venue ambience was perfect for our occasion, the food was outstanding and glasses were swiftly topped up. Everyone was very impressed and we have a magical memory. The value for money is truly outstanding. As soon as there is an opportunity for a gathering of friends, we will book The Tapestry again.
It's very easy to recommend The Tapestry. We held a post funeral gathering for about 20 people there and the service from initial enquiry to completion was first rate. Food interesting and very good. Venue and atmosphere excellent. Lucia and her staff attentive and engaging. Lot's of favourable comments from our guests.
After going to the river pubs for years, the Tapestry is a secret find for us, a few steps away from the Thames, just at the end of Ship lane in Mortlake. It’s the kind of pub that you drive past for years, and visit once and can’t believe you haven’t been going to all along. Despite being unassuming from the outside, it hides a wonderful garden with brilliant tapas, good wine, great cocktails and incredible puddings. It’s got great staff who go the extra mile and as I found out recently a secret weapon with Paella takeaways. Go one step further and take your own dish and they’ll fill it with beautiful paella meat or seafood or veggies and amaze your dinner guests! On the right day they’ll deliver to you door too. Our dishes were scraped clean. It really is a local gem for eating or drinking in or for a take away - highly recommended!
If I lived in Mortlake this would be my local. Lovely warm welcome from the start, we were made to feel very at home, oh and by the way the food is great too. Brilliant unique atmosphere. Go to the Pub dude
Two of us ate here tonight, a first time for me. The food, service and ambiance were excellent. Lovely night, highly recommended. Dietary restrictions: I am a gluten free diabetic. Our waiter was very helpful about the options available to me.
I have enjoyed coming here over the years for different functions and their £5 lunch. It's always friendly and welcoming. The staff are very attentive, and the food is fantastic. A good choice of wine, beers and spirits. An ideal place for birthdays and celebrations. Plenty of indoor and ourdoor seating. Walking distance from mortlake Station. A very relaxed atmosphere and fabulous decorations, lots of art around the place, very inviting.
What a great pub. Today is International Margherita day and my trio has just had the six best Margheritas that we’ve ever had. Perfectly tweaked from round one to be the ultimate round two. Superb staff. Icaro has wiped the floor with any average barman. Thank you for a great tequila celebration!
Amazing atmosphere, food/drinks were fantastic, staff couldn't have been more welcoming. Really a great place. Garden area is fantastic. Very good portions. Just an amazing place! There were some vegan substitutions but not a lot. If you are veggie/vegan, check the menu first only reason it's not 5 stars Vegetarian options: Would be great to see a few more options.
