Came here for my dad’s birthday and truly enjoyed the lovely service and food! A special shout-out to Maria who was our host for the evening and gave us some incredible vegetarian recommendations which went down a treat with the family. The service was exceptional, and even better than a lot of high-end restaurants in west london. Looking forward to coming back!
I visited Haya 4 times already during my 1 month stay on London! It is definitely my favorite restaurant Everything was flawless, and especially I loved baba ganoush and beetroot labneh..and tahini bread...and maybe everything!! The wine selection was awesome as well. Also, the service!!! I was always welcomed , and staff were all very nice. Must visit everyone!!!!
First, the host and the people working there is just fantastic, kind & helpful, specially Aaliyah she was wonderful. The food is delicious fresh & amazing. I recommend the Classic Shakshouka , and the Meza plate. You cant go wrong with any of there dishes.
The food was made with sincerity and tasted good. Service was also friendly. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the interior which doesn’t match the food. In no way does it give away the sense that you’re going to eat Middle Eastern / Israeli.
Tasty tasty dinner at Haya, we ordered a few dishes to share between the four of us. We got falafels, Marshmallow cheese, grilled shrimp, lentals, a bread dish and a cauliflower dish! Everything was very tasty and a very healthy meal overall! The ambiance was nice, lower lighting for a more intimate dinner setting! Lovely time with friends or for a date!
Visited Haya meaning life in Arabic for lunch on a Saturday. The ground floor interior is modern and beautifully designed, with outside seating for fifteen people. The Middle Eastern Israeli weekend brunch menu is simple with six starters, three types of sandwiches, four egg dishes and three pancake dishes. While the interior boasts lots of natural light, and the service is enthusiastic, the food was disappointing. For starters £5 for a bottle of still water is excessive even for well-heeled Notting Hill residents. The halloumi fingers £8 were greasy, while the smoked salmon pancake £16 was dissapointing. It was a single thin, overcooked pancake, with a very small portion of salmon and avocado covered by handful of greens. The haya challah bread was fluffy but lacked flavour. The only item I would recommend is the chocolate babka £6 which is freshly made, gooey and full of goodness. Compared to other Middle Eastern Israeli spots in the same price range, including Bubala, Bala Baya, Palomar and Coal Office, Haya shows potential but the weekend brunch falls short.
What can I say about this place .. The food is not worth the price £37 per person and we not even had dessert or coffee. The only thing I liked was the mushroom humus and the bread. The prawns were badly cooked and had not taste what so ever; the thing* I choose to call it a thing that came with the prawns had a sweet taste that doesn’t go with prawns at all and annuls the palate. The worst part wasn’t even the food was the fact that from the moment they brought the menus & food, we were already constantly being asked to leave because of 45m rule and we were rushed because we had another booking to an event so it wasn’t the case we were taking forever ..!! The mains was brought to our table they took their time to come and take the order I had to call and the waiter was already telling us that they will need our table for another reservation bear in mind that there were empty tables behind us, at our side and outside ! I counted +6 times we were asked to eat fast - and the restaurant wasn’t even full or had people at the door to get in. What were they expecting?- for us to just swallow the food and leave?! At the end I was soooo aggravated that I just wanted to leave the place before I was rude to someone. I don’t recommend this place .. you are not allowed to enjoy your expensive food. And I’m not saying they shouldn’t remind people of the rule, but one time is more than enough , people are conscious of the rule, but not everyone eats fast I’m one of those people and I was paying attention that there were no other people waiting to get in or coming. The table at our side was empty to must of our main dish until we left the restaurant the same for the tables behind us. Constantly Made us feel so unwelcome! Like they were doing us a favor by eating there .. quite frankly Not worth it. Not be going to this place ever, ever again !!
Wow. As someone who has experienced Israeli/Middle Eastern cuisine for years I can honestly say that Haya does the best I've ever had in London. From the stunning, rustic décor with greenery, exposed brick and candles to the incredibly warm and attentive service and of course the absolutely stunning food, Haya delivers on everything whether you're here for a romantic date or having a fun dinner with friends We ordered a few dishes to share Always the best way so can highly recommend the "Haya Challah Bread" , house pickles, "Cheese Marshmallows", Jaffa Cauliflower, Grilled Prawns and BBQ flame grilled Octopus and their famous Harissa Chicken which is so juicy and delicious Haya is so good you have to come here and try it. 10/10 thank you for a fantastic evening - we'll be back very soon
Got a perfect experience at Haya, lovely interior, very romantic atmosphere. Food was just amazing and the girl serving Sevdalina did a perfect job for us. We felt like having the best experience in London. Will definitely come back here and recommend it to others
Staff are absolutely amazing. Very happy, smiley, amazing energy. And then the food... Really guys ... You have to try it out. The gluten free breads are amazing also
