I went there for the first time last night just before midnight and we had a great time! The music was good and EVERYONE was dancing and laughing. The staff especially were great; one free birthday cocktail, a mix up at the bar our fault was resolved in our favour with no hassle, when one of our number was feeling a little too drunk the staff were so kind and caring. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good time and a friendly atmosphere. Thanks El Patron Londres! :
Went there to have a dinner on Friday evening - wrong decision! Music some random non-Spanish club tunes was way too loud to have any normal conversation and we had to wait 40 minutes for some quesadillas and tacos. And there were only 2 tables besides us! It's a street food so shouldn't take more that 15 minutes. Food was ok and portions pretty normal sized but it's a joint that seems to have an identity crisis - tequila bar or hipster Mexican restaurant. At the moment it's neither. My search for good Mexican restaurant continues.
I had a fantastic pulled pork burrito. Also, they have a good variety of spiciness salsa British mexican places tend to be quite unsatisfying in their salsas. The music was a bit loud, but was actually being DJ'd, on a Thursday night, and they turned it down a bit when we asked.
The bar is nice but if you are committed to workers rights do not spend any pound there. They do not pay workers. This is not a fake post, my bf worked for a month and he still haven't been paid. Other workers have had problems as well an we are still fighting to get the salary.
What began as a very pleasant evening unfortunately ended up turning sour. A medical emergency in the group meant that we had to leave the restaurant in a hurry; the bill was paid in a rush and only later did we realise that we had been massively overcharged. When we politely asked about this we were given no satisfactory response and received no form of refund. A medical emergency is not an opportunity to exploit your customers, and I think the situation was handled disgracefully.
Great burritos, but avoid the Brunch. £25 for nachos, cold, stale churros and a decent burrito, washed down by horrific sugary Margheritas that give you a headache long before you're drunk.
My favourite Mexican restuarant in the south west. Good authentic food at a very reasonable price. Good margaritas and a fantastic tequila selection in the bar downstairs.
The small lively evening bar underground is great on a Friday night with awesome live music. The cocktails are hit and miss though, could be improved.
Awesome vibe, really great tacos prawn are best. Good music on Fri/Sat, book ahead on those days can be hard to get a seat otherwise!
El Patron Londres is an excellent Mexican restaurant. It is well priced, has nice staff, and delicious food. Highly recommended.
