Warm welcome on arrival .delicious carvery and sweet included in the meal deal .friendly caring staff .All in all a wonderful dining experience sitting by a lovely log fire .a definate return visit , from all 3 of us .!!!

Staff listen and care about dietary needs, are very friendly, helpful and communicate really well to children. The carvery is extremely tasty and good value for money.

Serendipitous discovery while walking the National Forest Way. Very friendly staff, lovely wholesome food, delicious beer.  Not conducive to stepping back out into the cold on our way...

We have visited several times for Carvery and Steaks, and the food has always been fresh and hot. Tonight we enjoyed the fish and chips. The fish was fabulous, the batter was the best I've tasted. A "real" friendly  pub serving excellent beer and food with helpful and attentive staff.
