Ashby Woulds Lodges

We have stayed here now at least half a dozen times and never had any issues like the ones I've just read. However, recently we stayed here and I noticed the hot tub was not functioning normally. Day 2 it stopped completely and trying to contact site manager by phone was a joke. We had to physically walk to booking office to report fault. In 20 minutes the hot tub was steaming hot and running perfectly. Day 3 a.m. hot tub was perfect come late afternoon faulty again and I just couldn't be bothered to contact site manager. I was disappointed with this issue but because we have never had any problems previously I would still come again and recommend these lodges.

Perfect. Amazing. Just the best place we have ever been. Ideal for a romantic getaway! Only downside is we don't drive, so getting places was difficult. But it didn't make our visit any less enjoyable

It's classed as a luxury lodge but far from. There was spider webs around the walls and lights. The beds are the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on and pillows hard. The walls were literally paper thin, everything can be herd from the next room. And even people walking on the gravel around the building outside There was no basic amenities like toilet rolls. We had clear out the hoover to get it working. And the customer services was not welcoming and left us to it, no popping in to ask how things were though we were there a week. The rooms were so small and pictures makes to look big online so much bigger then it actually was. The shower doors were not fully functional. Kitchen was well equipped but dinner set weren't matching. The largest hob was broken on the gas cooker. There was no private BBqing, but the shared gas BBQ was excellent. Linen was very fresh and smelt very nice. Hot tub was very Private.

Private Hot tub, well equipped kitchen, parking, wifi. View isnt too spectacular but the location isnt too bad for a nice country get-away. Still close enough to nearby cities (B'Ham, Leics, N'ham etc) for a day trip. Didn't try the additional spa facilities. Lodges were clean and reasonably modern. One or two stains on carpet, crack in tile etc.

The lodge is a lot smaller than it looks, hottub is good and secluded in the cedar lodge 6 which is lodge one. Not met the owners yet and it's been 3 days. I'd recommend it but it say it's a bit pricey for wat you get
