Wow where do we start! Steam Mill Lodges massively set the standards high, we stayed in the Juniper lodge and it was truly amazing. We’ve never been to a lodge before so was unsure of booking one and where to book, after seaching high and low we found this place and it did not disappoint! Hot tub was brilliant, we also had a welcome hamper with lovely locally baked fresh bread and croissants with lots of other complimentary items. Overall we will definitely be coming back.
It was our 2nd stay at steam mill lodges last year for our minimoon this year for our 1st wedding anniversary. Again it was unreal we absolutely love it, everything is perfect. We arrived greeted by the owner, had a hamper waiting for us and the owner went above and beyond. The whole place is spotless, the view is unreal even stepping back looking at the lodges is beautiful. We can't wait to visit again for our 2nd wedding anniversary.
Very nice and good place for short break. Nice and quiet without the kids. It's an adult site only. We stopped in Birch lodge for 4 nights wich was very clean and tidy. Kitchen equipped with everything you need for 2 people. Everything in the lodge was spot on. Hot tube works very well too, nice and relaxing. Big thank you to the owners for our lovely time and hope to see you again
We are currently staying in birch Lodge, everything has been perfect. The owners are so friendly and helpful. We booked last minute as our holiday was cancelled at the airport and we couldn't have asked for anything better. The veiw is lovely. The Lodge is clean and there's plenty places to visit and eat in the area. The smart TVs include netflix and youtube. We have stayed in a few lodges and this one has been the nicest atmosphere by far. On top of all of this we found the price very reasonable. Would definitely 1000% recommend!

This place is bliss!!. Took the other half away for a chilled weekend and it was perfect in every way, quiet, peaceful.,everything was so clean and well presented from the minute you arrive it was perfection. The detail in the lodges are excellent and I would highly recommend a few days away, hot tubes clean and very well maintained, lodge its self was immaculate, plenty of towels, loved it and would 100% go back again. Thank you for the amazing weekend. Rob&Claire.
What a truly beautiful place. Not only was the lodge amazing with all the space, finish was immaculate and a nice hot tub but the surroundings are perfect. Nice and peaceful, loads of wildlife and plenty of local walks. Great to hear more lodges will be dog friendly because we will definitely be back. If you're someone looking for tranquility in some beautiful countryside, with lovely accommodation then this is the place to come!
We had a wonderful time on our 2nd stay at the Steam Mill Lodges. First time was in the Spindle and this time was the Rowan..The Rowan is special to ourselves The Lodges are beautiful, well maintained and well what can i say about the location...Amazing!!!. The owners are lovely and fantastic host as well as the rest of thier team. We have booked again next year.
Just had a lovely short break in the Rowan Lodge at Steam Mills. Immaculate lodge beautifully decorated. Great hot tub and very nice welcoming hamper. Beautiful and quiet setting. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.Rooms: 5/5
Just spent a few day at Steam Mill Lodges with my fiancee, last minute thing.It was AMAZING. We stayed in the Birch Lodge, it was spotless very cosy and decorated in a very high spec. Owners were amazing couldn't do enough for you. Lots of local walks and on the recommendation of the owners we ate at the high way house pub. Very nice and food was amazing and not far from the lodge. To top it all the lodge had stunning views and very private. The HOT TUB was amazing, hardest thing is forcing yourself to get out. Don't hesitate book for a guaranteed amazing time.
