The Sweet Lemon

I've been really impressed with Sweet Lemon: great service food arrived within 30mins and we were offered a complementary dish on our first visit, food was hot and tasted fresh and there is a good sized menu with decent selection for vegetarians. Amazing value for money, too: we spent £20 and soon found we had seriously over-ordered! Will be back :

Got the wrong order.. very rude and unhelpful when I called up. Couldn’t send me my right order on the time of Ramadan. And side to me I should be lucky with what I got. By the way the food that there sent to me was disgusting. And iv not even eaten all day. Keep away from this place. Only here to take your money! No customer services! Food not good! -0 stars Poor me have to go bed with no food.

I will never order from this place again. They have taken two hours to deliver my order twice in a row. The first time they didn't bring the ice cream I paid for when ordering. I mentioned it when ordering the second time. But they didn't bring it then either. My wife called them about it. But the guy just told her to complain to HungryHouse and then hung up the phone on her.

In the past we have had good food from this takeway, across a wide range of dishes, and we agreed with its overall rating. But the food was poor on three occasions recently, when we ordered early in the evening, ie around 6pm. The first two occasions this happened, the food just seemed 'old', as if it was cooked a day or two before- the nan was particularly bad, it was like stretchable rubber. It seemed mocrowaved. This last time, the prawn in the special balti really stank, but not before I had started eating it, and it has put me off indian food for a long time ! The manager appears to be in denial, probably because he turns up later in the evening, and isn't aware of certain processes. One interesting fact, its no wonder the prawns are tasteless in this kind of food, the prawns used are grilled-from- frozen, pre-cooked and peeled prawns, which at a time of cheap raw prawns, is a bit silly. Clearly this place is fine if you get your takeway later, and the old stuff has gone!

Has been my go to Indian takeaway restaurant for the past 4years. I don't trust any other and I live near Brick Lane! Sweet Lemon hasn't disappointed me yet! Great food, huge portion sizes, honest staff & decent prices!

Having tried many Indian takeaway's in my local area, I can honestly say, this Indian takeaway is unique, tasty and delivered within the time stated. The tikka masala had the right amount of heat and spice, it was cooked perfectly, the pilau rice was soft and fluffy. If your looking for a good night in with great Indian food then this is the one. Highly recommended.

Absolutely terrible! There was absolutely nothing good about my eperience in ordering from Sweet Lemon - 2hrs waiting time when I was told 1hr with no update, food was cold, order was wrong, the nan bread was burnt and when I called to query where my order was the man who answered the phone was rude and clearly didn't care. I am absolutely appalled and I certainly do NOT recommend!

Very Authentic and delicious food, you will get hooked in a blink, been ordering from them nearly for 3 years, can't fault it, only down side is when busy, delivery might take longer to arrive.

Wonderful experience. Delicious food - the lamb tiki in particular was incredible. Wonderfully friendly service, and incredibly low wait times. Will be ordering there again.
