What a warm and welcoming pub. It's had a bit of a make over in recent years, contemporary decoration inside and large family deck/ garden outside.
Food is good pub grub but tasty and filling. The staff were very friendly but it was the welcome from the locals that really bowled us over. We didn't feel like passing grade but were treated like familiar faces. Great place in a real unspoiled part of the world.

Friendly atmosphere and food looked good and not too pricey. It must be good as it was quite busy. Bar staff very helpful with suggestions for the beers. There's a pool table and darts in a games area. Its all open plan with bar central and different areas for food etc. It was too cold wet and dark to sit outside but looked like it could be nice next to the canal with hills in the background

Nice welcoming pub with good beer. Didn't have anything to eat though. Would be nice on a warm sunny day by the canal.

The staff are very friendly ...the pub never has any brawls and is children and dog friendly .
The managers are superb very welcoming  ....lots of night entertainment pin Friday and Saturdays. 
The food served sometimes a wait but worth it all the way .
I highly recommend a visit .
