We took grandkids on Friday 3rd Jan 2025, lunchtime, fabulous food nice clean restaurant, plenty of space busy but very quiet so we could have conversations, 4 meals 3 of which were steak, peppered sauce got a thumbs up from everyone less than £70.00, we will certainly be visiting again.
Ordered the pizza burger, as you can see it comes in this interesting crust which was surprisingly very good. The food was great and nicely priced. Staff were lovely and friendly. Hand cut chips were amazing!!
Very disappointing experience. Heard a lot about the place through colleagues. Rang up to see if a table was available, was told yes just walk in.nnPlace was dead, New Year’s Day, ok no problem.nnSat down, went to the bar to order, had to wait untill the waitresses were finished their conversation about keyhole surgery. Literally standing in front of them and totally ignored, madness.nnFood ordered. Starters to come with childs mains. All good. Food arrives quickly, kids meals and starters enjoyably good.nnWe got the steak deal; those unfortunately not so good. Steaks, zero seasoning and resting on the plate, over cooked. Menu looks ok for a pub but well over priced for the service and food given.nnWe did not complain because there was no point. One of the young ladies half asleep leaning on the bar. The sever; didn't come back to clear our staters, to engrossed in the key hole surgery convo. No fresh cutlery after staters, absolute shambles.nnWould I return? No.nnThe only saving grace was the older blonde lady who was very nice and accommodating.nnDesserts were lovely.nnOwners need to seriously address the front of house. Makes sense it’s the same owners of the fiddlers. At least the front of house their is decent.
Was there with friends yesterday lovely meal good service lovely staff. Would highly recommend
First time visit. We both tried the 3 course lunchtime menu. Very impressed. Great food. Great value. Generous portions. Will be returning again in the future.
