Food was Nice and hot, staff was very helpful and polite, Clean sitting area and prices of drinks were cheaper than other pubs near by. Was lovely to sit And relax without the hussel and bussel of over crowded bar.Food: 4/5
A very welcoming atmosphere, the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a great two hours here, there is also plenty of free parking and only a few minutes from the A1.Food: 5/5
A lovely pub, the food was great but our experience was made so much better by Jacob serving us. He was very friendly and had a laugh with us, and his service overall was amazing. We will definitely be coming back.Food: 5/5
Vile venue and frankly quite scary, food wait was very long, asked for medium rare steak and got over well done steak and medium rare chicken wings.. when the waiter brought the food she asked if we needed anything else I asked for a lemonade she promptly came back to tell me that she wasn't allowed to bring it and I had to go myself. Once i got to the bar I asked why and he shrugged his shoulders.. lemonade was crammed packed with ice I got a couple sips. Please do not come here unless you want to leave in a bad mood

Very impressed with the lovely food, nice atmosphere and great service from Daniel and the rest of the team. Only £25 during Easter half term to feed 2 adults and 4 children, including drinks and also desserts for the kids. We were asked about any dietary requirements when ordering our food. Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating with families.
Had a lovely visit to the Gold Medal with family, there was a few of us and they were more than happy to accomodate despite not having booked last minute decision! They even pulled some tables together and made space for those in the group who needed a tad more space. Food is pretty much same options as other hungry horse pubs, but there is such a selection on the menu that I think you could go all week and have something different each time! I went for the dipper burger which is basically a chicken burger stack with gravy... it was very nice! Price as with other hungry horse pubs was very reasonable. My only issue was that I attempted to use the app on this occasion but not all the menu selections appeared on the app, I went back to the trusty option of just going to the till but still a bit annoying when I went to effort to download etc! Worth a visit if you want a good value family meal out in my opinion. It's not gourmet, but your also not paying gourmet prices... and more likely my kids will eat the food!!
Excellent very reasonably priced meal at Gold Medal, Gateshead. The attentive service by all members of staff was exemplary, especially from Daniel. He went that extra mile to ensure our visit and experience was to remembered for all the right reasons . Thank you guys .Food: 4/5
Food was lovely. Looked after by Daniel who was so polite and checked we were fine and had everything we needed. Assistant Manager served us and he too was lovely. :Food: 5/5
