Boothroyd making his first ever visit to Urmston. I have been once before to The Steamhouse just after it opened. A lovely conversion of this station building. Sadly only two real ales on sale now and on this visit the Lancaster Blond was off. This left a very disappointing pint of Black Sheep bitter. Not on top form. Has a pool table, TV and sells food.
Great little pub. Lovely fresh home cooked food and friendly staff. Had mothers day lunch here, would highly recommendFood: 5/5
Meat & Vetetables was cold even after I mentioned to staff and they replaced Vegetables they were still cold. Gravy was Burnt Told lady and nothing was done x It’s a shame as it all looked good £70 for 4 adults 2 children wastedFood: 1/5

We had a rest office Xmas meal here and they catered for my gluten free meals perfectly. Lovely food and staff
Warm and welcoming platform public house - solid selection of ales and other drinks, with a changing range of food options. Pet friendly - though I can’t promise the handsome dog who greeted us on our visit will also be there when you attend A range of parking options are nearby, but it also sits directly on Urmston train station if you prefer to keep your options open. Add in the pool table with a dedicated sports TV in the back which helps keep the rest of the place quiet and it’s an ideal place to just pop in and chill out.
Only had a drink, but lovely staff, and very helpful. Seating is limited inside, but a very cosy atmosphere. Saw food getting delivered to a table opposite, and looked stunning, so that is definitely on my to-do list.
