Great value! Best steak ever! Portion is good. Service is very good too! Will def wanna come back again.
A lovely atmosphere in the place. Food was delicious, although portion sizes could have been a bit bigger for the price. Very welcoming host, waiting staff were very nice however, service slightly slow at some points, the waitress seemed a little abrupt and standoffish. However, food and drinks were very tasty and I'd recommend here for a good meal.
Been meaning to go for a while and my grand daughter treated me and her 2yr old to dinner. No table service to order food, so up to the bar I went, one small area to put your table number and order your food at, if you can get in for the locals, I assume, having a drink. However ordered our meals and after 10/15 mins our food arrived, the seasonal vegetables where what appeared to be frozen peas and frozen carrots and sweet corn, properly cooked but felt that a £16 plate of food should have been fresh veg, roast potatoes were small cut in half "new" potatoes fried not roasted at all. Service reasonable and pleasant, overall a reasonable meal at slightly high prices but lamb was excellent.
on arrival managed just to get a space in car park. Glad we had booked a table for 3 as restaurant was very busy. Food was excellent as usual as was service. There was no rush to leave which was good. Well done and will be back.
Very filling, but pub grub at town prices, similar to wetherspoons or hungry horse but more expensive. Burgers good but require more pepper required, brioche rolls would work better , haggis was mushy, probably having been deep fried. Service was good.
Stopped off while they were really busy but the accommodated us with no problem. Food excellent.,efficient staff. Good overall experience. We'll return for sure.
Great location, just of Edinburgh by pass ,informal eatery in Old coach House. Been a few times now food always plentiful and wholesome ,better in many ways than the upmarket joints in the city.
Food was so so had roast beef with trimmings. 3 thick slices of beef lot of girdle and given steak knives for it. Said to the girl when collected plates about meat an she said was it the roast beef but that was all.
We had our club xmas lunch at the Steading on Saturday , a really good meal served by friendly and efficient staff. Best 3 course turkey lunch for very reasonable money, no wonder theSteading is so popular. Highly recomended..
Good food, excellent staff. Well worth a visit.
