My favourite local pub. Nice staff, cheap drinks, interesting atmosphere with locals, pool&darts, and you can even eat takeaway food inside..
Good place to have a quite beer while you read the newspapers provided by the pub and/or watch a football match or the horse races. Two different areas. One more for the old locals and another one just about anyone. Plenty of space. People are quite friendly. The patio area gets the sun almost all day so really cool to sit down and roast for a bit. The pub is child friendly until 5pm and dog friendly as well no curfew. Would recommend for someone that wants to read the paper or watch a football match while drinking a quite cheap but good beer in peace.
Beautiful clean pint of 70 shilling
Came in on sat nyt as I'm staying over at the lodge. Leaving early morning. Not a bad pint with reasonable price only had a few may come bk another time

Brilliant memories of the "Goodies", down the years. Born and bred in Oxgangs, Friday and Saturday night's a great night out. Plenty character in the Bar, with all the locals. Great times in a great pub !! I am so glad you're still there. Highly recommend a visit and a good couple of pint's. All the best to you all for the future. " Gid auld Goodies " !

Good pub with good size lounge area and separate bar also also accomodates for parties etc in upstairs lounge. decent prices with friendly staff and even does pizzas to order
