We are a real ale pub that offers quality products, service and an enjoyable atmosphere. We offer a full menu which is sourced as locally and with the best ingrediants we could find.

With the relaxed atmosphere, a vast variety of people enjoy The Star Inn as a destination pub. For drinks, for food, for a warm by the fires, a chat with the friendly barstaff, or simply a pint of fantastic ale!

Stayed for 2 nights in January 2025 after enjoying my first stay in 2023. Very clean, comfortable, warm and spotless room. Excellent shower. A wide selection of beers in the bar which has very characterful and cosy rooms to drink them in. Stay all very friendly and efficient. Very conveniently located for the university or for train, bus or tram into Nottingham. Fantastic value. Highly recommended.
A great local in a prime location with easy access to the town centre and transport links, both within walking distance. I can’t score the rooms as I haven’t stayed there as I live locally, thus precluding the need to do so. There is live sports and music too. Staff are friendly, you also won awards so it speaks volumes. There is a lot of choice on the beers, wines; soft drinks front plus everything else in between. Keep going and I hope to have a drink here in the near future.
Good value for the price. Quality is as per the price point. Room could do with renovating. I was given a warm welcome with relevant information. Comfortable bed and powerful shower. Great to have the separate 24hr access.
As Deadpool once said I have a black belt in Karen.nI was having a nice night, had a couple of beers, real ale, good beer.went to the toilet, someone was chucking up. I exited and was promptly asked to leave. I pointed out it wasn't me but rather than go and sort the situation the manager? just stated there wasn't anyone else in there. Actually there was a guy dying in the toilet and his mate trying to look after him.nC'est la vie.nThe female staff were perfectly fine.nIt's a nice bar let down by the guy behind the bar. Personally I felt insulted. Wasn't even drunk. 2 pints.
Wish I didn't have to give this place such a 1... It's a pity about a couple guys whom work there.nnIf, you go only speak with the women whom serve. They are so lovely and the best part of that place.
