The Vic was recommended to us by a friend back in the US who studied at Nottingham, and we're so glad he did 1 because the out-of-the-way location meant we never would have found it, and 2 our experience was superb across the board. Wonderful Victorian appropriately atmosphere, extensive menu, and a very decent beer selection. Food was excellent we had the lincolnshire sausages and the paella and arrived in a flash. The staff were very welcoming, even to us clueless tourists, and there were plenty of dogs in evidence always a good sign.
Wow! Been a few times now and have not been let down. Really REALLY good food. Reasonably priced especially for the quality. £55 for two starters, two mains and two drinks.nOne thing I will say, which is always a big plus for my girlfriend and I, they are really dog friendly and the staff are extremely polite and attentive. Unfortunately, this is not always the case now days. Will be a regular thing for us from now on.nThe only negative if I am being super critical is the parking can be a problem.
Great traditional pub next to Beeston Station. So glad to have discovered this place. Arrived from London and had a late lunch, revisited again after a long walk in the wetlands a few days later and had breakfast there on our last day before heading back to London! Friendly staff, amazing menus, seems very popular with the locals. Lots of tables reserved.
Absolutely brilliant food amazing, staff spot on, phoned before hand told them I’m disabled and needed to be near a wall to help met sit down and stand up easily and that’s exactly what I got. Thanks for the welcome and thanks for the lovely hospitality we received celebrating my sons 23RD birthday meal.
Didn't try the food as was there for the forever stars Xmas fair and can't fault the place gave us free day passes to Herr gym and the place was amazing definitely worth a visit
